Have you ever heard someone make the claim that evolution has disproven the Bible? What you may not know is that the actual evidence in the ground gives evolutionists doubts as to the validity of their theory. In fact, Charles Darwin himself pondered, “Why then is not every geological formation and every stratum full of such intermediate links? Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely graduated organic chain; and this, perhaps, is the most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my theory. The explanation lies, as I believe, in the extreme imperfection of the geological record (The Origin of Species, 1859). I’m not sure if you realize it, but when questioning the reason for a lack of evidence, Darwin actually just claimed that the fossil record must be wrong. In other words he said, “The evidence doesn’t support my theory, but I know the earth is millions of years old so the evidence must be wrong.” What a cop out! Every so often, scientists unearth an example of what they claim is a transitionary form from one species to another, but if evolution were true we would literally find billions of variant species tracing the transitionary line all the way back to the beginning. Unfortunately for evolutionists, such a clear pattern simply does not exist and they have actually admitted it. Here’s an idea: If the fossils aren’t there, then maybe it’s not true. If the science doesn’t support the theory, maybe it’s time to admit that the theory itself is wrong. On the flip side, the implications of the Bible giving an accurate description of our history are HUGE. So I encourage you today to have faith in the rest of what it teaches about Jesus, why he came and why you need to believe in him for your eternity. The Biblical message is called “good news” for a reason. God loves you and does not want you to perish like mankind in the days of Noah. God made you in his image for a purpose and there’s nothing like walking in a personal relationship with him! Make that decision today if you haven’t already and have a great week!
