Acts 9:42

After Saul’s incredible transformation, Acts 9 shifts back to Peter as God continues working through His people.

And everywhere Peter goes, lives are pointing back to Jesus.

Verses 32–35

Peter traveled to Lydda, where he met a man named Aeneas who had been bedridden for eight years.

Peter told him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and roll up your mat.” (v. 34)

“Immediately Aeneas got up.” (v. 34) 🙌

Notice where Peter placed the credit:

Jesus Christ heals you.

The miracle wasn’t about Peter.

It pointed directly to Jesus!

“All those who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.” (v. 35) ✝️

Verses 36–43

In Joppa lived a disciple named Tabitha, who “was always doing good and helping the poor.” (v. 36) ❤️

But she became sick and died.

When Peter arrived, he sent everyone from the room, got down on his knees and prayed 🙏

Then he said, “Tabitha, get up.” (v. 40)

“She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up.” (v. 40)

Peter presented her alive to the believers.

“This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord.” (v. 42) 🙌

Once again, the miracle pointed beyond the person God used.

It pointed people to Jesus!

Whether through healing

serving

generosity

or simply living faithfully

our lives should do the same!

God may work through us in different ways

but the glory was never meant to stop with us!

May everything we do point people to Jesus ✝️
