Islam Is a Hot MESS 😳

"The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, 'Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!'" (John 1:29).
Hey friends! As a conservative Christian with decades of Bible study, I marvel at how this verse captures the heart of God’s redemptive plan, expressed in BOTH the Old and New Testaments.
In my recent exploration of the Quran, however, I've observed that Islam is a hot MESS (intellectually speaking). You heard me right! This is evident in its attempt to resolve a conflict between Judaism and Christianity that simply doesn't exist. Let me explain … 🤔
The Biblical narrative reveals profound unity: Christianity fulfills ancient Judaism, with Old Testament prophecies, types like the sacrificial lamb 🐑 foreshadowing Christ – a symbol pointing to his sacrificial death and resurrection. These realities show us that through FAITH in Jesus, Jew and Gentile alike are grafted into God’s covenant family — born not of flesh, but of the Spirit (Galatians 4).
This GOSPEL offers salvation from sin and death, a truth too glorious to dismantle! Yet Islam, misunderstanding orthodox Christianity — such as falsely assuming Mary in the Trinity — presents Judaism and Christianity as mere doctrinal squabbles. Surah 2:113 exemplifies this, claiming both “recite the same Book yet follow nothing,” positioning Islam as the SOLUTION 😱 through submission and good works. All of this, however, overlooks the Bible’s fulfilled prophecies in Jesus, the final PROPHET and Messiah.
In short, by tracing a new prophetic line through Ishmael and undercutting succeeding Scriptures, Islam misses the Bible’s TRUE meaning: salvation solely through Christ’s atoning work, not human effort. It erects a new foundation borrowed from, yet distorting, Biblical stories, revealing errors no true divine revelation would contain. Friends, trust God’s PERFECT Word and reject the destructive HERESY of Islam by boldly declaring God’s great Gospel to anyone who will listen! What do you think?? 👇
How does viewing the Old Testament through New Testament "Gospel glasses" deepen your faith in Christ’s complete fulfillment of prophecy?
Have you experienced the certainty of being a child of God through faith in Jesus alone (a concept that Islam rejects)?
