“Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.” Acts 18:9

Hey friends đź‘‹

We’re continuing through Acts, so open your Bible and study along with me. 📖

Paul's second missionary journey reminds us that God can open doors even when the road ahead is uncertain.

Acts 16:1–15

Paul and Silas traveled with Timothy, but the Holy Spirit redirected their plans.

Then Paul saw a vision of a man pleading,

“Come over to Macedonia and help us.” (v. 9)

They went, trusting God was calling them to preach there 👣

In Philippi, Lydia heard the message, and the Lord opened her heart to respond. (v. 14) ❤️

Acts 16:16–40

After Paul freed a slave girl from an evil spirit, he and Silas were beaten and imprisoned.

Yet at midnight, they were praying and singing hymns to God! 🙌

An earthquake opened the prison doors, but they stayed!

When the jailer asked how to be saved, they answered,

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” (v. 31) ✝️

He and his household heard the word, believed, and were baptized.

Acts 17

In Thessalonica and Berea, Paul proclaimed Jesus from the Scriptures.

Some believed,

Others stirred up opposition.

In Athens, Paul spoke to people who worshiped many gods

and proclaimed the one true God.

He pointed them to the risen Jesus ✝️

Acts 18

In Corinth, Paul worked alongside Aquila and Priscilla while continuing to preach.

One night, the Lord encouraged him:

“Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.” (v. 9)

Paul stayed and taught God's word for a year and a half.

Later, Priscilla and Aquila helped Apollos understand God's way more accurately. (v. 26)

Across cities

prisons

and unfamiliar places

the gospel kept moving!

Not every door opened easily.

Not everyone welcomed the message.

But God was faithful through it all!

When God calls us to make Jesus known,

fear doesn't have to silence us.

Keep speaking.

Keep trusting.

Keep pointing people to Jesus ✝️
