🤔 Should You Get Baptized? 💦

“I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors … were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea.” 1 Corinthians 10:1-2

Friend, have you ever heard of Moses’ parting of the Red Sea?? Dumb question, right?! In fact, I’d be willing to bet you’re picturing Charlton Heston as Moses in your mind right now. What you may not know about this event is that it was actually a BAPTISM of sorts for Israel when they left Egypt. That’s what Paul points out for us in our opening Scripture. This baptism represented their SALVATION from slavery in Egypt. With that in mind, let’s take this even deeper for a minute …

If they were baptized, you should be too in order to SHOW others that you belong to God. In fact, that’s what baptism actually says. Baptism says, “I’ve been saved” and that’s why Jesus commanded us to be baptized AND to baptize others (Matthew 29:19-20).
