đŸ€”Â Does God JUDGE? Yes! đŸ˜±

“For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed.” Acts 17:31 NIV

Hey friends! I know I’ve been talking a lot about HELL lately. To say that this topic is UNPOPULAR in today’s climate is an understatement. So I guess this discussion has me thinking: “Will God REALLY judge us?”

I ask this because we seem to live in a world where people truly don’t care about ANY moral standard. I KNOW you know what I’m talking about
. That’s why they say, “Don’t judge me!”

But what’s the deal? If there IS a judgment, wouldn’t it actually be LOVING to tell someone about God’s judgement?? Well, the answer to your question is “YES”!

This DECLARATION is exactly what the apostle Paul preached to a group of pagans in Athens. In fact, he spoke very directly and specifically about God’s judgement THROUGH Jesus Christ as he encouraged them to head the warning.

Don’t forget, these people had no frame of reference for what he was telling them. But he said it anyway.

So, if this is the case, why don’t we do the same? Why do we sanitize our message in order to accommodate, thinking this is actually a GOOD thing?

Paul didn’t.

Think about that this week when you have an opportunity to share your faith and see how the Holy Spirit prompts you!

Application:

What do you think about Jesus’ future judgment?

How is this judgment relevant today?

How should the church communicate God’s judgment to the world around them?
