Faithful to the Finish 👣

“My only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me.” Acts 20:24
Hey friends đź‘‹
We’re continuing through Acts, so open your Bible and study along with me. 📖
Paul's third missionary journey brought powerful ministry, fierce opposition, and a difficult road toward Jerusalem.
But Paul never lost sight of his calling.
Acts 19
In Ephesus, Paul taught boldly about God's kingdom.
God worked extraordinary miracles
and people who had practiced magic turned away from their old ways.
“In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power” (v. 20) 🙌
But not everyone welcomed the change.
The gospel threatened the business of those who made idols
and a riot erupted in the city.
Even so, God's Word kept advancing.
Acts 20
Paul traveled through Macedonia and Greece
strengthening the believers.
In Troas, a young man named Eutychus fell from an upstairs window while Paul was speaking.
Paul went down to him, and the believers were comforted when the young man was alive. (vv. 9–12)
Later, Paul gathered the Ephesian elders for a heartfelt farewell.
He knew suffering awaited him, yet declared, “my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me” (v. 24) ✝️
His mission was to testify to the good news of God's grace.
They prayed together and said goodbye through tears ❤️
Acts 21
As Paul journeyed toward Jerusalem
believers warned him about the danger ahead.
But Paul answered, “I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” (v. 13)
When they could not persuade him, they said, “The Lord's will be done.” (v. 14) 🙏
In Jerusalem, Paul met with the church leaders
but soon a crowd seized him at the temple.
Roman soldiers intervened and arrested him.
Even in chains, Paul asked to speak to the people.
Paul's circumstances had changed.
His mission had not.
Following Jesus does not promise an easy road
but He is worthy of our faithfulness through every hardship!
Keep your eyes on Christ. Keep following His call. Finish faithfully ✝️
