âSo make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.â Genesis 6:14-15
Hi friends and, OH BOY, you have got to see this! Early in the week I spoke with Andrew Jones LIVE from Saudi Arabia and the location of the REAL Mount Sinai. You can watch the full interview in my new video at pastoraj.com with part two coming next week. However, Sinai wasnât the focus of the discussion. Instead, we spent several minutes talking about what Andrew believes to be the final resting place of Noahâs Ark and why heâs convinced. This interview is truly EPIC and we cover the history of this location stretching back millennia and culminating in its discovery by a pilot at the onset of the Cold War of the last century. Among other things, we discuss how the dimensions and location of the Ark are a perfect fit for this archaeological discovery. In addition, Andrew explains how several ground penetrating tests reveal a structure characteristic of a manmade seafaring vessel. Then thereâs also the Valley of the Eight, the place believed by others to be the hometown for Noah and his family after the flood. INCREDIBLE! On top of that, Andrew sheds some light on his personal experiences with Ron Wyatt, the amateur archaeologist who popularized this site during the 1970âs and 80âs. You will at least walk away from this interview encouraged that this Bible story is TRUE. In fact, thatâs the point of this series: to show you that the Bible is true. The flood happened and there are implications of this event on the future of our world so letâs set our worldview straight, recognize the facts and adjust our lives to the one who sent such a global catastrophe on the earth in the past. Whether or not you believe this as the final resting place of the Ark, you need to square your life with Jesus, the culmination of every event we read about in the pages of the Bible. Do it today!
Application:
Watch my new video âAndrew Jones Live from Sinaiâ at pastoraj.com. Do you feel this is the final resting place of Noahâs Ark? Why or why not?
Have you ever considered other geological evidence for the flood (such as the sedimentary rock layers of the world and the fossils that accompany a global watery catastrophe)? Do these facts help you to recognize the truth of the Biblical flood?
What does a discovery like this (or even the truth of the flood event) say to alternative worldviews like evolution and other religions about Godâs expectations for people? What can you do to share Jesus with someone else this week?
