There Is No Other Name đź‘‘

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 (NIV)

Hey friends đź‘‹

We’re continuing through Acts—so open your Bible and study along with me 📖

Peter and John have just witnessed a lame man healed in the name of Jesus. ✨

The crowd was amazed.

But not everyone was celebrating.

Verses 1–3:

Luke tells us the religious leaders were “greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people, proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.” ⚠️

The message of Jesus was challenging everything they believed. So Peter and John are arrested and put in jail ⛓️

Yet even then, God is still working!

Verse 4: “Many who heard the message believed…” 🔥

And the number of believers grew to about five thousand.

You can imprison people.

You cannot imprison the gospel.

Verses 5–7:

The next day, Peter and John are brought before the rulers, elders, and teachers of the law.

“By what power or what name did you do this?” 👀

The miracle had everyone talking.

Now they wanted answers.

Verse 8: “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit…” 🕊️

The same Peter who once denied Jesus now stands boldly before powerful leaders.

What changed?

The Holy Spirit!

Verses 10–11:

Peter answers: “It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead…” 🔥

Then he quotes Psalm 118:22, written roughly 1,000 years earlier:

“The stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.” 📖

The very One they rejected had become the foundation of God’s plan.

Then comes one of the boldest declarations in all of Scripture.

Verse 12: “Salvation is found in no other name…” 👑

Not in religion.

Not in good works.

Not in another name.

Only JESUS!

Acts 4 reminds us that the gospel has always been exclusive in its message and inclusive in its invitation ✝️

Peter didn’t point to a system.

He pointed to a Savior.

The religious leaders wanted to know what power had healed the man.

Peter’s answer was simple: JESUS.

And that answer is still the same today 🔥

The name of Jesus still saves.

The name of Jesus still transforms.

The name of Jesus still has power 🕊️

So stand firm in your faith and never be ashamed of the name above every name!
