Kingdom Living Looks Different 👑

“There were no needy persons among them…”

We’re continuing through Acts—so open your Bible and study along with me 📖

The believers have just been filled with the Holy Spirit and are boldly proclaiming Jesus 🕊️

But the evidence of God’s work wasn’t only seen in their preaching.

It was also seen in how they cared for one another.

Verse 32: “All the believers were one in heart and mind.” ❤️

Their unity wasn’t just something they believed.

It shaped how they lived.

Verses 34–35: “There were no needy persons among them…” 🤝

What a statement.

Not because everyone had the same amount.

But because believers willingly met one another’s needs.

Luke explains:

“Those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet…” 👣

The resources were then distributed “to anyone who had need.”

This is kingdom living.

People trusted God more than possessions.

And they trusted the leadership God had established to steward those gifts faithfully. 👑

Notice the emphasis.

The focus isn’t on selling property.

The focus is that needs were met ❤️

The gospel had transformed the way they viewed what belonged to them.

Verses 36–37:

Luke introduces Barnabas, whose name means “son of encouragement.” 🙌

Barnabas sells a field and brings the money to the apostles.

His generosity becomes an example of what God was doing throughout the church.

Acts 4 reminds us that everything we have ultimately belongs to God 🕊️

A Spirit-filled life isn’t marked only by bold words.

It’s marked by open hands 🤝

When believers care for one another, trust godly leadership, and use their resources for God’s purposes, the kingdom is displayed in a powerful way. ✝️

Kingdom living looks different because kingdom priorities are different 🔥
