āThen Peter said, āSilver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.āā Acts 3:6 (NIV)
Hey friends š
Weāre continuing through Acts ās o open your Bible and study along with me š
In Acts 3, Peter and John are heading to the temple at the time of prayer š
And sitting near the temple gate was a man who had been lame from birth ā ļø
Verse 2 says he was ābeing carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg ā¦ā
Every day.
The same condition.
The same dependence.
The same hopeless routine.
Verses 3ā5: When the man asks Peter and John for money š° Peter says:
āLook at us.ā š
The man expected coins.
But God was about to give him something greater.
Verse 6: āSilver or gold I do not have ā¦ā
Peter wasnāt offering temporary relief.
He continues: ābut what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.ā š£
The power was not in Peter.
It was in the name of Jesus!
Then in verse 7: āHe took him by the right hand and helped him up, and instantly the manās feet and ankles became strong.ā šŖ
Strength entered what had always been weak.
In Verse 8 āHe jumped to his feet and began to walk.ā
And then: āHe went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.ā š
The miracle didnāt just restore his body.
It restored his worship!
Verses 9ā10: The people recognized him š®
They knew this was the same man who used to sit begging at the gate called Beautiful.
And now?
He was standingš§āāļø
Walkingš¶āāļø
Praising God!
āThey were filled with wonder and amazement ā¦ā āØ
Acts 3 reveals the heart of Jesus toward the weak, broken, and overlooked ā¤ļø
This man had spent his life being carried by others.
But Jesus saw him.
And through the power of His name, everything changed š„
The name of Jesus still brings healing!
Still brings restoration!
Still brings hope!šļø
