āAnd let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one anotherāand all the more as you see the Day approaching.ā Hebrews 10:24-25
Hello friends and happy SHORT Sunday! No, itās not short because itās smaller. Itās short because Iām sharing my latest short video on why YOU NEED CHURCH (linked below) š ....
Like our opening Scripture illustrates, church attendance is ESSENTIAL for healthy Christian growth. In fact, Iāll actually take things a step further and tell you that you shouldnāt use the name Christian if you donāt regularly ASSEMBLE with your brothers and sisters in Christ because we are FAMILY!
Think of things like this: You may profess your association with the Shepherd, but itās our relationships with the other sheep that provide the platform for us to LEARN š§ and GROW ā¤ļø in our walk with Jesus. These intimate relationships then culminate in our worshipping together on Sunday -- the same day as the early church (aka: the Lordās Day). Nothing pleases our Heavenly Father more than to see his kids gathering in true fellowship with one another.
If church isnāt currently part of your regular routine, consider starting NOW š so you can be a more effective servant of Jesus AND experience all he has for you!
Application:
Why do you think church life is so beneficial to believers?
Can you think of any other Scriptures or principles that show why God values relationships?
Are you currently part of a local church? If so, what could you do to take your relationships deeper? If not, consider making a three-month commitment to attend church ever week and see how God works in your life and in the lives of others!
